Maybank is a bungalow on the North West bank of the Caledonian Canal located at the end of a private access road. With large enclosed Garden. Sleeping 8 guests with 4 bedrooms, King Bed, Double and singles. Double glazed throughout with gas central heating, the lounge with an open fire. Membership included to local Fort William leisure club comprising pool, gym, jacuzzi,sauna and steam room. Shepherd’s Rest is a 3 bedroom architect designed self-catering holiday house. The house is fully double glazed, under floor oil heating with radiators upstairs, supplemented by a wood burning stove in the living room with initial supply of logs supplied. Sleeping 6 people, Shepherd’s Rest is nestled between the River Lochy and the famous Caledonian Canal. Situated at Torcastle the property is accessed through a tunnel (suitable for up to standard Transit van sized vehicles) under the Caledonian Canal.Membership included to local Fort William leisure club comprising pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

7th June 2025:

This house is emaculate. Location is scenic with river views and sheep’s grazing near by. My 3 year old was particularly fascinated by the sheeps. We also enjoyed the board games in the Sun room. Communication from the host was good. Tip do pay attention to the email for directions don’t rely on SatNav

Having stayed at Maybank numerous times over a number of years with my young children and extended family we longed to return ,,so after more than a decade we finally did and it was just so amazing to be there again! The same stunning location with updates to the interiors a real home from home for us. We definitely plan to return soon!

Awesome location with everything that one needs for a family, plenty of space and the sitting areas are a treat especially the one at the back overlooking the canal and Ben Nevis. Ilona is a perfect host, Thank you

When using Google maps, please pin your location as Great Glen Holiday Lets , I'm sure there will be no issues finding the property :)

We had a great stay at Maybank. We were in Scotland to hike Ben Nevis and the house was a great base for us. It was spacious and clean with all the facilities we needed. Beautiful views and a lovely garden. We’d definitely go back.
