The best B&B that we ever have stayed. Jane and Joe are so kind and friendly, always taking care that you are feeling like at home. The views to the loch are amazing, and the breakfast was so good, also with those awesome views. It is close to Fort Williams (two minutes by car), where there are a good variety of restaurants. 11/10. I can't say more positive things about this place. Not am exaggerating, but Hillview Guest House was BEAUTIFUL. 1. The view from in front of the guest house was beautiful. You can see hills and water combined just like a magical place. 2. Feels like home. Really. Communal places like dining rooms were clean. Personally my wife and I love it. The breakfast was perfect. 3. Facilities were complete. We have everything we need. 4. The staff (Jane and Joe, if I am not mistaken) were kind, awesome people. We appreciate all the hospitality from them. Thank you so much guys! We hope to stay there again in the near future!

Lovely rental unit. Breakfast was average. Certainly gets your day to a good start. But with so many guests staying we see why a hot option is not given. However, it wasn't cheap. The rate was comparable to a hotel rate. The garden out front was beautiful. The wife and husband seemed somewhat disinterested in their guests, which I suppose happens after being in the business for 20 years, but definitely room for being more friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would do it again. Oh, the bathroom needs some shelving.

Watch out if you park where you are not supposed to. We had a difficult time finding parking for the Harry Potter train. Most parking lots afford only 3 hours. You need at least 6 hours for the train ride. When we finally found the train parking lot (go right, not left onto Nevice Terrace off of Belford), there was only one parking spot left. We were so happy to get it we didn't notice that it was "Club Member" parking. While we paid for the parking, we also paid a 50 pound parking ticket. That's $88 were we come from. Bloody hell.

We knew the location was out of town and beautiful setting by the loch. Disappointed that wi-fi would not work for us- seemingly it is problematic due to the density of the stone walls. There was a good choice of cereals, some fruit, yogurts and juice available. Plentiful basket of toast and pots of tea or coffee and juice too. A cooked breakfast is no longer available- no smoked salmon and scrambled eggs due to market pricing.

We went to Fishy Fishy restaurant and both ordered different types of grilled fish- trout and sea bass. Good portions and baby potatoes and salad available instead of chips. Black Isle Bar is good for a variety of craft beers- they serve pizza there too. Grab a bottle of wine and sit at the patio tables to watch the sun go down overlooking the loch.

Jane and Joe were fantastic hosts, very friendly, accommodating and good fun. The room was very clean and comfortable with great views over the loch. Breakfast was continental, which I enjoyed, but would personally have liked some sliced meats and perhaps some better quality sliced cheeses. All in all though we had a great three night stay, and would definitely stay there again.

Try the Ben Nevis inn on Fort William high street, the food was delicious and not too expensive.

The room was clean & comfortable, and there was an early check-in of 3:30pm which was great as it was a horrible wet day. We stayed in a room which can be used as half of a family suit, so there was a small hall between us & an unused room with the shower/toilet between them. Our room was very small, so we used the hall to keep some of our motorcycling kit as there really wasn't space in our room. The owners were helpful & friendly & the continental breakfast was excellent. We were able to park our motorcycle off road. The room was very expensive (the most we paid for a room during a 3 1/2 week tour), but that seems to be the going rate in Fort William.

Beautiful bnb. The decor was Devine and all so very clean Jo and Jane were lovely and welcoming Continental Breakfast was nice. Room cozy and warm with a hot shower and a clean comfy bed. Short drive into town. lovely views.

Chinese restaurant in the mall was delicious. We enjoyed Neptune’s steps and cafe, which is a short drive away. Missed out on the visit to Ben Nevis distillery as u have to pre book. The soap shop is worth a visit. So many lovely gifts (not really a soap shop now) and a lovely cafe.

Our room was very small and a bit dated. There is not an en-suite with the twin room. It’s a shared bathroom and again was very small but clean. We only stayed one night so fine for us. The breakfast is self serve and a reasonable selection of pastries n yogurt etc. The host was very helpful and friendly.

Not all restaurants in the centre of Fort William are very helpful. You can’t book a table at most and just have to turn up early. The Ben Nevis Restaurant was the most helpful and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was good too.

The view from the room on the lake and mountains is fabulous. The accomodation is cozy and the breakfast was delicious but only sweet stuff. Jane was very kind and helpful.

We climbed the Ben Nevis peak which was hard but with beautiful sights. The inn at the bottom offers delicious authentic dishes. The Lost Valley near Glencoe is also cozy but be prepared for tons of midges and mosquitos.

Obviously had very high standards. No concerns about cleanliness. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Cow Hill circuit walk, go up to the peak, pop back down and go around the other way to which you came. Walk down to the youth hostel near Ben Nevis to see highland cattle. There are no cattle at the distillery. The Geographer restaurant is good but you need to queue when busy. No reservations. The Old Deli nice for lunch.

To save having to drive into Fort William , a short walk along the road is the Clan Macduff Hotel where we enjoyed evening meals and drinks. The Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig is well worth travelling on. If just viewing the train crossing Glenfinnan Viaduct , the car parks by the visitor centre get very busy.

Fort William has a range of eating options so anything’s possible. Also great step off point for the Jacobite Train which we highly recommend but book early for 1st Class seats.

My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The standard of the bedroom and public areas was excellent and we particularly appreciated your warm welcome and how you looked after us during our stay. The breakfast was particularly good, with a great choice, especially the pancakes! We hope to come back and will tell our friends.

Walking by the shore of Loch Linnhe first thing in the morning (turn left from the main gate and look out for the path down to the shore). If heading south through Glencoe, the Artisan Cafe (between Tyndrum and Crianlarich) is a very good stop - with excellent scones. Nearer to home, the Ben Nevis Inn is also recommended.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Hillview Guest House in July 2023. The house and gardens are immaculate, and the hosts are so welcoming and friendly. A lovely breakfast was served each morning, and the rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated, with the breakfast room and lounge having amazing views of Loch Linnhe and the Ardgour Hills. The weather was nice while we were there and it was good to relax in the garden at night watching the sun go down over the hills. I would highly recommend staying at The Hillview Guest House.

There was enough parking for all the guests cars and the views across along the valley and across the loch were beautiful. The bedroom and ensuite were a little tight for space but we only needed one night so it wasn't an issue for us. The room was comfortable, warm and nicely furnished with a great view. There was a good choice for breakfast which was tasty and well cooked.

Park in Pay and Display lot and walk High Street for lots of pubs, restaurants, and gift shops. For clan items, go to Mairy McIntyre’s (sp?). They actually have Clan Cameron items. Be sure to visit the Cameron Museum at Achnacarry, home of Donald Cameron of Lochiel. It’s a trip on a single lane rural road with Passing Places, both avoid destination and an adventurous drive 😉.

Ein kleines zweckmäßiges Zimmer, mit allem, was man benötigt. Frühstück sehr gut. Nette Vermieter.

Liegt 3 km außerhalb von Fort William. An der Busstation (500 m) fährt ein Bus ins Zentrum. Wir sind den West Highland Way gelaufen und konnten auf kein Auto zurückgreifen. Da war der Bus eine gute Option.

Exceptional service and a lovely welcome, going the extra mile by allowing me to arrive later than published time from the late ferry from Uig, we communicated by email prior the day before. Ample parking for all guests, beautiful gardens, clean interior with luxury furnishings and choice artwork. A very well presented guest house exceeding many hotels I've stayed in!

The walk in shower tray in room 1 is very slippery when wet and a bit dangerous. I would recommend that you provide a rubber mat to put on the tray while having a shower to avoid an accident.

The Lochleven seafood restaurant is good and in a beautiful location. Reservation is a must.

Jane and Joe were excellent hosts! Very knowledgeable about the area and full of suggestions to make your time in and around Fort William memorable. The accommodations we very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfasts were relaxing and delicious. Highly recommend and hope to stay there again!

We had dinner at a few great restaurants. Ben Nevis, Crannog and The Geographer were all excellent. Either go early or have a reservation, it’s very busy even early in the season.
