Great location - super easy to reach everything in town. Wonderful hosts! Super nice accommodation. More rooms than I expected, but each was roomy and quiet. The hot breakfast was huge and well-prepared. Perhaps because it was all prepared on the same griddle, everything tasted a bit of lamb (eggs, ham, and sausage). Other than that, it was a really great breakfast.
Tips:The host has all the gouge and provided great recommendations. The Geographer was a great dinner. Book your Jacobite Steam Train tix waaaay in advance. If you are attempting day-of tix, arrive by 0815 to be at the head of the queue and expect that they will only have 8-10 last minute tix.

Very friendly and welcoming, even laughed at my jokes! We were only booked for three nights but suffered a severe case, and I mean SEVERE, of food poisoning from a local restaurant (see below) and they kindly made our room available for an extra day as we were unable to travel. Even made a trip to the pharmacy for medicine and late night toast as we hadn’t eaten all day!
Tips:Great selection of restaurants a 5 minute walk to the high street, but ESSENTIAL to book during peak times to avoid queues. N.B. We may have been unlucky, but recommend avoiding the Chinese Palace.

The hosts Catorina and Trevor were very warm, friendly and welcoming. Upon reaching Catorina welcomed us with a big smile. Before showing us our room she gave us a map and marked on it places we definitely should try to see during our stay. Every evening when we came back, if the hosts were around, they made sure to ask about our day. The property is very tastefully decorated. The room was beautiful with a keen attention to detail and high standards. The toiletries and short bread were from the best shops in town. But it was the small details that showed the love and pride the couple have in ensuring an extremely comfortable stay for the guests; from the sleep well mask, to the sewing kit, under floor heating in the toilet to the rubber stoppers at the edge of tables , it seemed they had thought of everything .A comprehensive list of restaurants and to do things was also provided. We highly recommend this place and would love to return
Tips:Restaurants should be booked especially on the weekends as we couldn’t find a table on our last day. Ben Nevis pub and the Grog and Gruel are good. In Arisaig must try the restaurant at The old Library lodge Ben Nevis Gondola, Jacobite train, boat cruise. At Glenfinnan try to go to the view point 20 mins from the parking for best photo views of the The Jacobite steam train

Katrina and Trevor were so welcoming, friendly and helpful during our stay. Breakfasts were varied and delicious and set you up for the day. Our room (no 5) overlooked the Loch which I would highly recommend for the views. It was also a really good size, clean and nicely furnished. My reason for putting a 4 for facilities was the difficulty experienced hitching a heavy suitcase up the stairs to the room. Other than that we had a great stay and will definitely come back to Glentower if we are in the area again. Thank you.
Tips:We highly recommend this lovely B+B. This was our 1st trip to Scotland and stayed for 4 nights. The hotel was in a great location overlooking the beautiful Loch and within easy reach of the shops and nearby outdoor activities. There is so much to see and do from Fort william, even if you experience some mobility restrictions and cannot climb or hike (i.e the Jacobite Train, Neptune's Staircase, the moutain cable car). There was ample blue badge parking at all the destinations we went too.

Trevor and his wife provide such an amazing and hospitable facility. He met us personally upon arrival. The room was spotless and very nicely decorated. Breakfast was delivered early so that we could catch a train. What a find! This was our favorite stay in a ten day trip.
Tips:Weatherspoon pub was open for lunch and dinner. A short walk. St Andrew’s church in the downtown has the most beautiful altar. Take a ScotRail trip to Mailag to see the Glenfinnan viaduct if you don’t have time for the Jacobite train.

FANTASTIC in every way... helpful and super-friendly communication from our hosts, both prior to, and during our stay, PERFECT location, STUNNING views in general, and particularly from our front facing room, relaxed key / access arrangements, good parking, BEAUTIFUL décor & rooms, comfy beds, useful in-room info., LOVELY bathrooms, top-notch toiletries, and DELICIOUS breakfasts, what more can I say !! THANKYOU very much. Would very HIGHLY recommend, and would love to return.
Tips:A walk up GLEN Nevis particularly after rain, (or even in the rain like we did ! ), is spectacular, a bit tricky under-foot, but well worth the effort. For a pretty, longer walk, park in the larger, fenced, Lower Falls car park, and take the path which leads off right, just to the car-park side of the bridge. We had lovely meals at both The Tavern, a cosy pub in the High St., and Spice Tandoori, a little further south on the same street. Despite our visit being out of high season, booking is advisable, as all eateries are popular. We also enjoyed a drink in the beautiful, modern, rustically furnished Black Isle bar. The gondola ride, from The Nevis Range Centre is fantastic, with spectacular strolls out from the top, both right, and left but definitely best on a clear day. ENJOY !!

We felt most welcome and everything was in perfect order. Rooms were very clean and nice, bathroom was outstanding. Breakfast was the best we've had in a long time and plenty. City is a short walk away so the area is quiet. On top of this, the price is reasonable. If we return to Fort William, we will surely visit GLO again.
Tips:Book your stay well ahead as everything is full all summer. For coffee we enjoyed "3 Wise Monkeys". For arriving by bus we recommend continuing to the bus station and walking back to GLO, as getting of at an earlier stop landed us 3 km outside town.

Trevor and Catriona are excellent hosts and their establishment is lovely. Our family of five adults and two grandchildren recently spent three nights in three bedrooms rooms of this very comfortable B & B. The breakfasts were just delicious. The staff members were so kind to each of us and so very accommodating of anything we needed. Our bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed. Thank you Trevor and Catriona. I hope our paths cross again. When we drove away, I felt we were leaving new friends.
Tips:We enjoyed every meal in Fort William, but particularly enjoyed eating in the pubs. We had delicious fare at Ben Nevis Pub, Lochy Bar and Restaurant, Black Isle Bar, and Spice Tandori. The pubs and restaurants were very busy and short handed so it’s best to eat early or find a restaurant that accepts reservations prior to your arrival in Ft William.

The Glentower lower Observatory is a pristine accommodation. The property stands out from the rest of the properties and also to the accommodation within. The couple who run this Bed and Breakfast are very welcoming. They gave us information on Restaurants. Our room was always warm and relaxing. Great Breakfast.
Tips:Being a vegetarian is always a concern for us when on holiday. Our full English breakfast was fabulous and sustained us all day. As we had an early train to catch, the proprietor made us packed lunches. A short walk from the B &B there are plenty of cafes and restaurants in Fort William. The Geographer was our favourite. This restaurant had a good veggie menu. Plenty of easy walks nearby. The bus service is ok. A car would be beneficial.

The cleanliness and appointment of the rooms is beyond reproach, the decoration and homely touches in the rooms, give a wonderful ambiance. Great food and a good selection for breakfast. We would recommend a stay and hopefully will do so in the future.
Tips:Book early for any tours or excursions. Book for lunch and dinner dining, the restaurants all seem to be short of staff. We visited early in the season, the kitchens seem to close at 2pm. More visitors than table availability in the evenings! Cruise of the loch is a must do trip, Neptune's Staircase is interesting if you like civil engineering and locks.

I don't what to say except you all are the best. My one tiny piece of critical feedback would be that the beds were too hard, and the chairs in our room, too. Just add some foam toppers maybe? After a hard day of hiking I was sad the bed wasn't the rejuvenating helper I hoped it'd be. And it wasn't just me, my husband and two kids had trouble getting comfortable, too. Even so, my youngest wanted to live in that room, she loved it so much. :)
Tips:Old Inverlochy Castle and the Highland Soap Company was a lovely afternoon and leisurely lunch after checkout before we hit the road back home. Tips:Enjoy the Jacobite train, do a turn on the lake/loch from the nearby located pier or try to climb on top of the Ben Nevis (Be carefull, that's a strenuous tour and the weather worsens! Check this in the vistor centre before. And you need a car/taxi to get there to the remotely located start point.)

22nd May 2016:
We stayed for two night in a chalet next to the hotel. It was very modern and quiet, with nice décor and beautiful views over the Loch. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Tips:The breakfast choices were many and varied. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts on both days. We also took the Jacobite train to Mallaig and it was the best day out.
